contact
The first contact from the group in many years was a      message in a bottle washed up on Whitstable beach. The person who found the bottle containing the message just happened , by chance,to be the Landlord of one of the pubs at which they had played regularly in the 90’s. (Of course then it was known as the King’s Head, whereas now it is a “Gastro Pub” - the Aardvark and Pineapple - where you can have a good old pint of real ale, a glass of wine, or dine on our freshly prepared food. Booking is advisable.)
The Landlord recognised the signature, put 2 and 2 together, and wasted no time - in selling his story to the local newspaper.
Once the story broke, a small army of dedicated fans who had not given up hope (of getting back the money that they had lent to the group over the years), began to correspond with them using messages in bottles.
Today there is a steady stream of messages back and forth, and you can contact the group yourself by e-mail. Once a week all the mail is printed off, put into bottles, and thrown in the sea
Please bear in mind that, depending on the tides, prevailing winds, and whether the group can be bothered, it can take anywhere between 6 months and a year before you get a reply. All replies fit to print will be shown on the “FAQs” section of the site. You can email them at;                                                         messageinabottle@thesurfivors.co.uk
